How the estimate is calculated
The amount financed is the vehicle price plus any taxes and fees you chose to finance, minus your down payment and trade-in credit. The monthly payment uses the standard fixed-rate loan formula with your APR spread over the number of months you entered. Total interest is the total of payments minus the amount financed.
- A longer term usually lowers the payment and raises the total interest.
- Each add-on product financed also adds interest for the life of the loan.
- A trade-in you still owe money on can reduce the credit applied to your new loan.
