Verify site ownership in Google Search Console

Before you can submit a sitemap, Google needs to know you own shieldmydoc.com. If you already verified it, you can skip this step.

  1. Go to Google Search Console and sign in.
  2. Click the property for your site (or add a new URL-prefix property).
  3. If it asks you to verify, choose the HTML tag method and paste the meta tag into your site head, then publish.
  4. Click the Verify button in Search Console.
2

Open the Sitemaps report

Once you are inside your verified property, open the Sitemaps section.

  1. In the left sidebar, click Indexing > Sitemaps.
  2. You will see a box that says Add a new sitemap.
3

Submit your sitemap URL

Copy the URL below and paste it into the sitemap submission box.

https://shieldmydoc.com/sitemap.xml
  1. Paste https://shieldmydoc.com/sitemap.xml into the sitemap field.
  2. Click Submit.
  3. Google will show it in the table with a status like Success or Pending.
4

Confirm Google accepted it

It can take a few minutes — sometimes a few days — for Google to fully process the sitemap. Check back in the Sitemaps report.

  • Success: Google found and read your sitemap.
  • Pending: Google is still processing it — check back later.
  • Error: Click the row to see details, then fix the issue and resubmit.
Note: Submitting a sitemap does not guarantee indexing. It simply helps Google discover your pages faster.
